replacing grips?

how often should grips be replaced? I have had mine for about 2 years. I feel like the leather is getting somewhat thin but I'm not sure. They are Nastia Liukin brand ones.

I would say its about time, thats when mine started to go, and the doll was starting to come un-stitched to the leather. If they dont feel right to swing on anymore iI would say get new ones. Its kinda difficult at first, lets just say I have a relationship with my grips, were very close haha.
