Women Rolls on Beam

Hello! Rookie question here. My daughter rarely successfully completes a forward or backward roll on beam, she usually goes sideways and says they hurt. Her gym does a lot of drills on beam with rolls. She successfully does handstands, cartwheels, and back walkovers without hesitation and says those are way easier.

Is this something the gym can work around for competitions? Do any of the levels require a roll on beam? I've seen girls from the gym compete rolls but I don't know the requirements.
