Men routine question

Almost always! With L7 and up, changes can be made as needed, in practice, in meets, heck, sometimes mid routine the kiddo might change what he is doing (my son was a master of this!).

Usually coaches like the skill to be ready, and then they can try it in meets. Ad you get closer to post-season, routines may become more "locked in"

And definitely, if a skill is not working, and there can be a substitute made, coaches will usually go for that.

thank you! my son said that he's been working some harder skills that they said he's ready to compete in meets, but if it doesn't score well enough they'll remove it before states/regionals/etc and add in something less difficult. My son is young so I wanted to be sure he was understanding it correctly and that it was possible to do that.
