Hello! I’ve just started working beam saltos and am…struggling, to say the least. I need a forward/sideward Salto but I can’t seem to figure out how to get height taking off one leg, my chest drops IMMEDIATELY(have worked front tosses and side somis). Can’t do an aerial for the life of me. Genuinely so lost on what to do, does anyone have any drills for the tosses/somis? I don’t have access to a pit. Have you found front tosses or side somis easier to learn(I want to focus on one)? Thank you so much!

You could work on front tucks.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
