Hello all, first post here! Just took my young gymnast(6yo) to the sports medicine doc with heel pain. She recently increased her training hours from 4 to 9 since joining the gyms level 3 team. I was told she is experiencing “severs apophysitis” or basically pain in her growth plate area...

There isn’t a better… it’s whatever works for each individual.

Taping has been a lifesaver for my daughter. We use this method. It’s expensive with three kids of tape, but without it she was in tears in pain. This almost completely takes it away. We also do icing, massage and stretching.



You need strapping tape - elastikon 3inch
It’s like sticky ace wrap

For what it's worth, my kid swears by KT tape for her knee pain. We've found cheaper alternatives on Amazon. Works just as well, but sometimes doesn't stick as well.
