First let me state I am not looking for medical advice, just personal experience with this particular injury.
DD has a navicular stress fracture, she has been non weight bearing for 6 weeks, was re-xrayed and has been cleared to progress to weight bearing as tolerated, just nothing on the toes. Fracture line still present but shows healing. In 4 weeks she will get a second CT to see in more detail on how the healing is going. HER goal is to heal this without surgery. She is a 2nd year level 10 and like many of these kids is hoping to continue onto college gym in a few years. She has been able to do bars throughout this process and some PT for only range of motion but nothing else. I am curious about other people’s experiences and how surgery or non surgical approaches played out with healing, return to sports and re-injury.
Thank you!!!
