She's back training again.

Well what a year. As you know Alex had two tesrs in her knee that took forever to heal. She finally got the all clear in June and then she broke her thumb doing a balance check on beam. Out another 8 weeks.
So she got back from summer vacation mid-end of July and it's been great.

I thought keeping her motivated during the injury was the tough part but it wasn't. Its the frustration of getting her skills back that's been really tough.

Yesterday she did her first ever twist on vault. Yes she has a long way to go but boy was she thrilled when I picked her up yesterday. We celebrate the small things now having been through a year of injuries.

Thanks everyone, its been a challenging year for her for sure. She will take one day at a time and see where the cards fall. I just hope its a safe and healthy rebuilding year.

That's so great! I love reading posts like this. She's learning important life lessons. One day she will look back and think that those struggles taught her so many things.
