I've been having pain along the bone in both my shins and I asked my coach what it was and she said a shin splint. What are they and what can you do to help the pain b/c it's affecting my floor. Doing punch fronts and ro bhs btucks are torture. Please help!

I had shin splits before and you can by this neoprane sleeve thing that fits on your shins and keeps them really warm. It doesn't fix the problem but it makes them feel a whole lot better while you practice.

To ease the pain, do heel raises with only your forefoot (ball of foot) on a step or BB and then do toe raises with your heels on the BB.

50-100 in sets or together.

That and time off pounding surfaces will help.
