I've read USAG policies, but I continue to hear different things. Can girls skip levels this upcoming 2025-2026 season, such as competing for bronze one season and then skipping to platinum the next? Or compete bronze one season, silver the next, and skip to platinum without scoring out at a meet? Are there repercussions for gyms if they do it and get caught?

Lynn08 is correct.

Gold is considered entry level so bronze and silver are not required at all. In order to compete platinum, a score out at gold would be required.

The repercussions would be not being eligible to compete or earn awards at conceptions where someone checks. I know there were a lot of issues as gyms recovered from COVID because there were meets that got canceled and then athletes moved a lot of levels and/or programs. We had one athlete for example who competed level 4 at fall state and was training level 6 but never got to score out of 5 and then moved to Xcel diamond and suddenly needed a petition. We were scrambling to get everything done just days before a meet.
