Parents Social Groups

I've been around the CB for a few months, but I still haven't figured out the Social Groups. I just moved across the country, so if there are state/town specific groups, that would be awesome. Otherwise, my 8 year old is a pre-teamer hoping to join Xcel bronze in a few months. How do I find and join groups? Thanks everyone!
