Parents Spotting bars standing between judges and gymnast?

Our bars coach always spots the girls from the same side (the girls' left side). Sometimes this means that the coach is standing between the gymnast and the judges, blocking their view. Is this okay?

Yes it is okay, although they should only be stepping in for certain skills. As a coach you spot for safety, so standing on your strong side is pretty important. Lots of coaches learn to spot on both sides, but if it's counter swings I stand on my good side so I have the best chance at catching the child.
