Well it still feels like summer! Came in the gym tonight for my other son's tumbling and was flagged down by the desk staff and told all about DS new pbar move. I got to see a few beautiful( in my eyes) HS moy to support. Straight arms and everything. Also love watching my nongymmie smile his way through tumbling doing things he gave up on two years ago!

So excited that we are seeing progress! Ready on vault. Almost there on rings and high bar. Getting there on pbars and floor. Then, there is something else. What is that other thing called again? Lol. Just kidding. Yeah, it's nowhere near ready. Just love to see the confidence coming back!

Unfortunately, my younger son is having trouble coming back from his sprained ankle. Now, his floor is a mess! And he hates the same event as his big brother.

For those asking, a Moore is just a general term for any 180 degree turn on one pommel. A czechkere is 'front Moore' and a stockli A is a 'back Moore'. :)

I'm thinking of finally starting to compete this year! I haven't this far because of fear and money but I'm strongly considering it this year. I'm 16 and might do level 10 as a specialist.

Anyway this summer I've gotten:

Floor: front full, double arabian (still inconsistent) double back, 2 and 1/2 (still inconsistent), wide arm press, started full-in and double-double into pits.

Vault: started landing tsuk lays, will start twisting soon.

Rings: so close to an iron cross! Got a felge this summer.

Pommels: got loop flair handstand, and consist czechkere.

P bars: got a few stutz handstand on p blocks (still inconsistent) and started trying them on the bars. Started dismounts and peach drills.

High bar: Ha, yeah right.

It is so exciting to see what all the "big boys" are doing. They are role models for our little 5 (soon to be six) year old level 4s. I went in to help at school today on an "about us" project and my son said for the "I love to" question - do gymnastics. His last question was "I can do ---- by myself" and he said "back lever". He's the first of the littles to do it on rings by himself and he is super proud. His favorite colors were the gym colors . I would say he is hooked.
