Hi! I am going to take one month off gymnastics due to a turf toe (I think that's what it is) injury. I was wondering if there are any ways to make sure that when I come back to practice I won't lose any skills or not have enough strength.

yes. don't take a month off. lots to do at the gym without aggravating your turf toe.:)

Agreed. Bad idea to miss practice for a month. I'm sure there are *plenty* of things your coach can find for you to do without bothering your toe. You can always do lots of conditioning! Definitely not worth it.

My dd broke her finger last summer and spent 5 weeks of practice with no bars, tumbling, or vault. They gave her lots of conditioning, dance, beam, etc. Sit-ups and squats became her specialty!

Well, this is actually what i have been doing for the past two months. Only doing bars, conditioning, and dance, but my injury has just gotten worse. My doctor told me that if I want my toe to heal, I must take the time off.
