Women Tapped at Woodward West??

My DD is at Woodward West this week and I just received an email from Woodward saying that she has been tapped. Is this a marketing ploy to get her to return this year or has she really done an exceptional job? How many kids get this?

Congratulations to your DD, it means she is working hard! My girls were "tapped" last year and when I picked them up, we found out their whole cabin was tapped! They have a few weekends at the end of the summer for the tapped campers to come back at a discounted rate, but it was still a lot of money!! Awesome for your DD!!

Well, of course it's a marketing ploy . But I would hope they would pick kids that are working hard, too.

I vote for marketing ploy. My dd was tapped last year on her first year there, too. She does OK, but is no superstar and probably not the hardest worker there either.

That said, it was a nice self-confidence booster for her. We would never consider sending her, but we told her how excited we were that she was chosen.
