Ok i am really sorry if any of you on here happen to run the comp i was just in.........>.< worst comp ever! it was a school comp........

Poorly organised, poorly managed, despite that judges were harsh.....i got a 10.00 on bars .......(Yay in the old system  in the new......its out of 15) it was one of the worst comps of my life!

Ok so we started on bars and my coach (who has never coached me a day in my life but still knew her) was nice but was incredibly annoyed about the disorganisation. Luckily we were going around with a school where my coach at my club also coaches....... it told us american warm up......SORRY i didn't think that warm up 1, warm up 2, compete 1 compete 2 warm up 3........was american warm up well it hasn't for the past few comps anyway

Then on to beam  even worse, it was like floor warm up free for all comp beam only for mounts and dismounts  and you just had to deal with the pushy coaches who pushed in front of you.

Luckily i didn't fall off :)

Floor was alright but warm up again was weird.

Vault was normal but i wasn't allowed to measure my run  so overall i hated that meet please everyone who is co-ordinating a meet don't have free for all warm up on beam!! and run it nice and smoothly :)

Ugh! That does sound badly run! I hate it when warm-up doesn't go well...then you feel rushed and nothing works right...It's weird that you weren't allowed to measure your run on vault! I mean, everybody, even at the lowest comp levels, measures their run, so they can get their steps right to hurdle right to do a good vault.

It's over now at least. Once I had a meet where, according to my former-judge/current-coach's snide whispers to the other coach, the judges had no idea how to deduct. For example, they took more than the allowed deduction for something or other on vault, and they didn't deduct properly for a girl omitting her back tuck on floor (not me! yay! I did it!). She didn't mention anything to the gymnasts cause that wouldn't be right - we're supposed to focus on our skills, not the silly judges, and I didn't dwell on scores.

Though at that comp, the two judges were 0.8 apart on my bar routine! 0.8! That's a lot when it's out of 10! (I missed my hips on the long hang pullover and went around the bar again in a back hip/clear hip type thing in crummy form just trying to stay on...but que sera sera, right?)
