Hey so I’m a xcel silver gymnast and I’m thirteen and I know that I definetly have more than enough skills to move up a level or two. So on vault my skills are front handspring, round off, and round off half twist. On bars I can do a lip on high and low a clear hip cast above horizontal (almost cast handstand) and I rly want to train flyaways but never have been able to. On beam I have a back walkover series, 180 split jump, back and front tuck dismount and working back handsprings. On floor I have a round off back tuck, round off double back handsprings, front pike, almost round off back handspring back tuck. We are just abt to compete state, and then our uptrain season starts in april. Last year I was in my second year of rec and moved to team in the summer, and my coach had originally said that I could compete my first two meets silver then move to gold but that did not happen, to be fair though I don’t ask her abt it. I’m wondering though if platinum is a choice or if level 6 or 7 is also a choice. I have been doing gymnastics for two and a half years now. I’m wondering if switching gyms would also make a difference but I love the gym I’m at now I just don’t know if I should stay there bc I want to keep advancing quicker then I am. Thank u!

I think you have all the skills for gold, not sure about plat.
Gold bar routines must include:

  1. Minimum of 6 “A” value skills
  2. One skill that finishes in clear support at horizontal or above (not the mount/dismount)—e.g., cast to horizontal
  3. Two 360° circling skills (may repeat the same 360° circle; not mount/dismount) – if it’s same skill it must either be connected on one bar or one on low bar and one on high bar, if it’s different skills they can be connected or isolated
  4. A dismount from the high bar
  5. Gold Beam Requirements

    Gold beam routines must include:
    1. Minimum of a 1/1 (360°) turn on one foot
    2. Two different dance elements (isolated or in a series)
    3. One jump/leap that reaches a 120° split
    4. Two acro elements (with or without flight); one must achieve or pass through inverted vertical
    5. A dismount

  6. Gold Floor Requirements

    Gold floor routines must include:
    1. Minimum of two directly connected acro skills, both with flight (e.g., front handspring → front tuck)
    2. Either a second pass of two directly connected acro skills with flight or an isolated aerial or salto (e.g., Round-offBack Handspring–back tuck, or side aerial)
    3. A dance passage with two elements, one a leap showing 120° split (direct or indirect connection)
    4. Minimum of a 360° turn on one foot
  7. Here is plat-
  8. Platinum Beam Requirements

    Platinum beam routines must include:
    1. 6 “A” & 1 “B” value skills
    2. Minimum of a 1/1 (360°) turn on one foot
    3. Dance series with two elements (same or different)
    4. One jump/leap that reaches a 120° split (may be in the dance series)
    5. Either one acro with flight (e.g., back handspring) or an acro series with/without flight (e.g., handstandback walkover)

  9. Platinum Floor Requirements

    Platinum floor routines must include:
    1. 6 “A” & 1 “B” value skills
    2. Minimum of two directly connected acro skills, both with flight, and one must be an “A” or “B” salto (e.g., front handspringfront tuck)
    3. Either a second pass of two directly connected acro skills with flight or an isolated “B” salto (e.g.,roundoffback handspring–back tuck; or front pike)
    4. A dance passage with two elements, one a leap showing a 155° split (direct or indirect connection)
    5. Minimum of a 360° turn on one foot
