Yes it definetly did, she should have gotten a way lower score than a 9.775. doesnt her dismont count as a fall? and she took like 2 very large steps.

I just watched this meet on my DVR and thought the same thing of Shaylas beam. Isn't it .3 for knee touching down?

something like that. so .3 for the knee and the 2 steps there is no way she could of gotten in thr 9.7s

Just to add to the discussion about Shayla's routine, her knee also touched down on the dismount.

I have seen some screen shots of her dismount, it is questionable as to whether her knee touched, but I imagine someone who was there and standing in a better spot than the camera would be able to see better. After watching the routine I can find WAY more than .25 in deductions. It was really a routine closer to the 9.0 mark. But when ever did a coach protest that a score was too high?

I imagine for the opposing team this was beyond painful to watch, but in the end Florida will kick butt all season. Judges like that will not get many future assignments.
