Question for the coaches/judges out there.
If a child is registered at a level per her profile on the USAG website, must she compete that level at all meets?
For instance, if DD is registered with USAG as a level 7 gymnast, can she compete an early season meet at level 6?

Gymcoach1; If the gymnast has not competed at L7 she can be changed to a L6 within the USA-G membership. After competing: Our State has a drop back date (USA-G JO). You can compete a level and then elect to drop back to a lower level. At that time an email must be sent to USA-G requesting the change in their electronic records.

Best wishes, SBG -

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
