So as a level 8 gymnast (if anyone read my previous post yes they decided to keep me in 8) I need some help with my vaults. I have been working tsuk pikes and tsuk tucks to mats in the pit and am trying to compete the tsuk pike. I’ve always been confident that I could easily do it too the comp surface but last practice I got a bit of a reality check. We went to a number of mats in the pit that is close to the height of the comp mats maybe a bit higher and even with my coach bumping me it was a whole lot harder than I thought and I was only doing a tuck. So I need some tips for actually doing it to courage since that’s happening soon and I’m a bit apprehensive about it now and also actually landing my vault. I can land a tsuk tuck to mats in the pit but I bend my knees to early so my coach had me switch to mostly training pikes but I can’t understand at all how to land them. I can overotate but can’t land at all.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
