At the meet my daughter attended yesterday, the boy's area was adjacent to our area and we could watch a lot of the competition as it was going on. We watched the end of an L5 and then the warm up and beginning of an L9/L10 (I believe).
It was SO cool and I was surprised at how big the teams were for the older boys. Much larger than the girls teams in our area. Watching the boys throw those big skills was both scary and exciting. The high bar release moves and dismounts took our breath away. DD loved watching the rings. (she still thinks they should have to beam and she things WAG should add rings)
It makes me even more excited about watching our boys team develop over the next few years.
