So at my gym they have recreational gymnastic which teaches up to level 2 recreationally and there are tryouts to join the competitive team and I want to try out for the xcel silver team. I have a back handspring, front tuck, front handspring, flyspring, on tumble track and i have a cartwheel, handstand, handstand turn,1/2 spins, basic leaps, tuck jumps and split jumps on beam and can do roundoffs, front walkovers and back kickovers,(im working on my back walkovers),backwards roll to pushup and front handsprings on floor. On vault I do front handspings and are working on front tucks. I can also do kickovers, squat on's from casts, cast to straddle on bars but I just can't get the hang of back hip circles. No matter how hard i try I end up bending my arms right before leaning back. Do you think I could make the team like this? Or should I keep trying to get my back hip circle. Also, any tips or exercises to help me get my back hip circle?

you would be in gold! just get ur BHC and u will be fine :)

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
