Our Level 3s are ages 7-12. We added Level 2 in the 2021-22 season, and those girls range in age from 6-11/12. If the 12-year-olds aren't ready for Level 4 the next season, they usually go to Gold (especially if they will be on the school gymnastics team. That’s interesting to hear. My DD was told at her old gym that she could go to L3 instead of silver because at this gym, they made silver harder than L3 for some reason. You needed a back tuck for silver (which she has a HUGE mental block on) and you needed a kip which she could not do consistently at the time. We said no to L3 because of the fact that the kids there where ages 7/8 and my daughter was 12. After all that we switched gyms to a gym that doesn’t do silver just like yours, so she went to gold.
She has her roundoff back handspring! It’s just she can’t do it sometimes (10% of the time she can’t do it) , and she has her front handspring on the table, but it’s inconsistent.Probably silver, but her floor and vault might keep her in bronze.
