Hi all,

I recently bought and started using the Pegasus All Around shoes and love them. However, I have noticed that when I do turns with them on beam, they leave quite a mark on the beam cover. I'm going to a camp at another gym this weekend and don't want to be ruining their equipment. So anyway, I was wondering what the differences are between the tumbling and beam shoes. Are the beam shoes softer on the bottom to prevent marking up the beam? I'm debating on buying beam shoes to prevent that from happening, but don't want to spend the money if the result will be the same.

None of our gymnasts wear tumbling shoes, I don't even know what those are.
Beam shoes, however, are similar to ballet slippers and usually made in light colored materials. We have had a couple of gymnasts wearing them (for foot perspiration issues) and they don't leave marks on the beams.

Our gym requires shoes for practice. They are similar to these.
