I do find coaches fairly unapproachable as a rule, with a couple of notable exceptions. I would agree about emphasizing your dds journey and progress without focussing on other people at all. Also on what she could do to improve. And arranging a chat in advance so the coach is not taken by surprise. But I also would go ahead with the chat with the coach or it will drive you mad if you're anything like me! Good luck!
