I currently can't compete this in usag (i don't think, correct me if i'm wrong you can't compete D skills in L8) but if you've seen previous posts i'm in aga and it's bonus (.1 added to my SV).

I am possibly competing in next weekend to see how it fits in my routine and to see if it will work for state (in may).

If you have any tips or corrections that would be great! (I didn't get any where I landed perfectly, but there were a few) I'll also link a fail from today! [emoji23]
(both vids are from today, i got this today)

best I can tell, you're leaning to the right before you take off. If you bend your front leg a bit more before take off, you should get a bit more height to see the landing better.

CoachTodd is correct that you are leaning to the side (right side when you take off, left side as you're landing). From the videos I can't tell if it happens before takeoff or in the air. You can see in the video where you landed it, even when you stay on the beam your front foot has to turn in to catch the beam. That's not good for your ankle and it makes it a lot easier to slip off. It's also what's causing you to fall in the other video.

If you have your hips square and directly over the beam, you should be landing with both your feet facing the direction you came from (like a cartwheel). That will make this skill a lot safer for you. Take it back down to a line on the floor or floor beam to make sure you can do this skill with a strong kick straight over the top, hips square as you're coming down, and land confidently with both feet in line with the beam (like a cartwheel).
