    Double back tucks help please!

I would reccomend never letting your tuck open, until you're positive you've gone around twice.

    Full turn on beam?

Make sure you're at your highest releve` and squeeze your buns!:p Don't be afraid to stick your foot on the beam. Keep your chin up. You may want to do some on a low beam.

My DD Grips slip or twist, what causes that?

Try having your daughter make her grips tighter, you may have to order new ones.

    Fixing mats

At our gym, we use duct tape. Put a strip over the tear.

    Teaching a kip series

For a clearhip/freehip: At our gym, we put a blue block close to the bar, far enough so the girls' heads don't touch. The girls stand with their feet on the block, and their hands on the low bar. They shoot their feet under to freehip and end up with their feet landing on the block, to let them...

    mental block!!!!!!

Remember that you have to be afraid before you can be sure of yourself. Fear is undeveloped confidence. Do a few backhandsprings on tumbletrack. You can do it!:D

    faux meet

I agree with gym4life123 as well, who cares what other people think. The mock meet is supposed to let you get used to actual meets and judging, so let it do that. As for beam, during your routine never tell yourself don't fall, don'nt fall, don't fall. Your brain only focuses on the FALL part...

    How to become a "dancer"?

You have to let the dance flow out of you. Dance may seem awkward at first, but eventualy, with practice, it will become easier.:) Good Luck!

Sore Quad, meet in 2 days, hellppppp!

Hey there, I was working front aerials at my gym sleepover two days ago, just for fun, and today I can't walk up the stairs with out making funny old person sounds. I don't know how to stretch it out. Any suggestions? I have a scoreout meet on Saturday, and I really don't want to...

Your experience with the strap bar?

I remember the first time I did a giant on straps. I would advise getting a spot foryour very first time. After that you should get the feel for giants, and be able to work them on yor own. If you should go out of control, the girls at our gym straddle when the get to the top, it always seems to...

Level 4 Bars - Neutral Deduction

Are there any neutral deductions that can be taken for a level 4 bar routine? My daughter recently scored much lower than she had previously, with what looks like the same routine. There was a digital photographer at the meet, and looking back through the stills, I can't find the deductions...

    Parents Nasty Parents

New to gymnastics and need advice . . . Some of the team parents are really mean and catty. How do you deal with this? I don't want to participate in their negativity. By avoiding them, it becomes a team of parents divided (and seems to fuel their mission). Any tips or pointers would be...
