I am absolutely nowhere around this level, but to those that are I'm also wondering: wouldn't it be better to set the jump a bit more vertical, less horizontal speed? (sais the physicist in me).
Our (adult rec) trainer messaged us to bring gloves to protect our hands because we were gonna work on handstands a lot today.
I was completely unaware it was april fools. I just assumed he knew something I didn't, haha. like i use gloves on the strap bars, i thought maybe he has some weird...
I can nearly do a roundoff on beam but i can't even do a back handspring on floor soo... for me its obviously the roundoff that's easier.
almost= last i tried i could land it on a beam with mats stacked either side of where I land, without touching the mats. they're there just in case.
Hey,
I'm no expert, but I did once get lower level judging accreditation in my country. that's a different system than the US so take what i say with a grain of salt.
By far the biggest deduction os your big wobble. other than that its a very good routine.
Potential deductions i see

I tried a ballet class nearby, but the issue was it was very "just let the adults try stuff out", rather than working hard to systematically build up skills. I find it way more fun to work systematically on skills. Unfortunately, that is the only ballet class I have access to atm.
I did know...
I think so, yes. i didn't realise that was a thing, but that was part of what i discovered. if i do a sideways kick, i can only do it properly with my kicking leg turned out. if i don't turn out my leg, my hip moves a lot to accomodate lifting my leg.
I'll see if I can figure something out with my video editing skills, or find something similar online. I generally don't like putting videos of myself online, especially in this age of AI problems.
If it's fear, absolutely just get somebody to spot you. I have/had the exact same. I always felt I could do it if I just wasn't scared to, especially on trampoline.
I'm 29, I did my first back tucks on trampoline track and then on trampoline with a spot last year, so your age/size shouldn't be...
Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a little discovery and success story. I suddenly figured out something that made my press handstand like twice as easy.
So I've had trouble with my press handstand and my toe shoot both. When I try to straddle my legs by the side, I always end up making an...
Teasing can normal. Normal behavior is also, if you tease somebody and they cry, you realize you went too far and you apologies. If kids don't understand that naturally, then they need to be taught that.
I can't advise you exactly what to do here, but I can tell you that it's not good or...
A bit bigger than a whole chicken? My biggest pot is really big. But just feel free to share any ideas, other people also read these threads so your ideas might help others as well wether they work for me or not. And I can always make adjustments :)
Nope, but a lot of things for that can be made in a pan. I also currently only have 1 cooking spot (like spot to heat a pan on?), but I intend to buy a bigger cooking plate some time this year.
PS. Right now if I need multiple pans I cook one by one. I don't mind though, I like taking my time...
Thanks for your reply.
We've had these bars for a few years but I never really practised much on them, just every now and then. So far it hasn't gotten better, but I'll definitely try to practise on them more consistently to see if that'll help. I feel fine doing clear hip to horizontal drills...
