Xcel Silver. Her skills are all over the place across different events, so I don't think DP would be a good fit. If she could get the full turn and cartwheel on beam, ROBH and FT on floor, vault with a springboard, and squat on for bars (you didn't say if she had it so I'm assuming she doesn't)...
I would get a chin up bar and place it in an area where it is not possible for her to swing on it in any huge way. A floor bar could be good, for handstand and clear hip drills. A chin up bar can be good for pull ups, chin ups, leg lifts, windshield wipers, scissor lifts, etc.
There's no true right answer here. I know what *I* would choose if I were in that scenario, but nobody can make that choice for you. Talk to your parents, because as it's been stated above, it's likely their money paying for all of this. See how they feel. There's probably someone in show choir...
AFAIK in XS a spot is technically allowed and there's no deduction (for the spot specifically) unless the coach actually touches the gymnast. I could absolutely be wrong on it, but we definitely had coaches spotting girls on a BHS or ROBHS when I competed silver 5 years ago, and their scores...
Swimming, diving, figure skating, and circus arts are all great for gymnasts. I also really enjoyed weightlifting after I quit gymnastics. I would imagine a gymnast would be pretty great at wrestling too. Rock climbing is fun, and uses a lot of the grip strength and flexibility from gymnastics...
I once knew a gymnast who made it through level 8 without needing grips. It was when she got to level 9 and needed releases and transitions that were more dangerous that she finally decided to get grips. So, it is definitely possible to not necessarily need to use grips until the really high...
We can't technically provide medical advice, BUT, get it checked out if it keeps happening. I pulled something in my hip doing a backbend 3 years ago. It still hasn't healed. No doctor can tell me what's wrong with it because it's not worth it time-wise for my family for me to go get an MRI...
