You actually have platinum routines on everything except bars. You would need to work on kip, clear hips, and flyaways for platinum.
However, you would still need to score out of gold before even moving up to platinum, so you would have to complete at least 1 meet of gold and get the qualifying...
Hello, I am looking a bit into A&T/Stunt for something to do in college after graduating high school. Since gymnasts tumble on a spring floor bare foot, and A&T is on dead mat with shoes, I was wondering how easy/hard is it to transition into the sport (I have only ever done gymnastics in terms...
I applied to coach at my gym last March, started training in June, and became an official coach in September.
Due to my age when I started training, I was not allowed to spot, so I learned most of my spotting from either asking some of the other coaches or looking up tutorials on YouTube.

Hello, I am working on cast handstands, but what my coaches tell me I struggle on most is bending my hips first and getting my hips up before my legs. They tell me to focus on feeling my hips so I know where they are, however, no matter how hard I concentrate on my hips, I can not feel them...
Spot something on a wall (at our gym, we have a line that runs across the walls that we spot), look for it as long as possible before you flip. This will help you not throw yourself into the flip before you rise
Hello, I am an xcel platinum (working diamond), and I am not a huge fan of backwards tumbling (slowly working back to rbh and rbh tucks), but really advanced in front tumbling (working front fulls and front 1.5s).
I need to work on upskilling my back tumbling, but I was wondering if I started...
By toe on, you are referring to toe on to handstands? (not toe on to jump to high bar). That works requirements wise, check with your coaches to double check if they will allow you to compete a toe on instead of a free hip.
As long as you are not on TV, it should be fine. Ask your coaches to double check, because though it may be allowed for no copyright, gyms might choose to not use popular/copyrighted songs.
You have to purchase the xcel code of points to get the full list of values (not the free PDFs you find online). FIG and xcel do not share many of the same values, but xcel and DP do.
For beam, we have a game called "pressure cooker", where each person does a skill on beam, and if they fall or wobble, they get pit blocks thrown at them (after they are done with the skill of course, not mid skill)
Draw an imaginary line in front of you that goes straight back onto the beam, you are going to want your hands to follow that until it reaches the beam
