Hi!
Has anyone attended Beam Queen Boot Camp? Is it worth the time and price? My DD is a level 7 and beam is her hardest event. She struggles in pretty much every meet. Also, she is recovering from a back injury so pointers on other series that would count for level 8 or XCEL diamond would be...
Ok I'm trying to make this weeks lesson plan for our preschool gymnastics classes, and the theme is "boot camp". What are some ideas you guys have for this! I need things for bars, beam, trampoline, and any others you can think of!!!
Hi everyone :)
I went to the orthopedic and it was determined a tore a ligament in my ankle - and it's the dreaded high ankle sprain (I tore a ligament that is higher in the ankle, it helps you walk). He said I can either stay in my boot with no crutches, or use crutches and a brace. I don't...
So I'm in the boot for three weeks... I haven't been to the gym at all for 3 (?) weeks... I was taking a little break. I'm going two days a week for 2 or 3 hours each night. Any suggestions for bars with the boot? We also don't have a pit if that makes a difference.
DD is finally free from the dreaded boot after 3 weeks - with all the potential injuries in the gym, she manages to crack the growth plate in her heel jumping into the pool! :-/
We discussed the possibility of developing Severs with her doc and he agreed that it could become an issue now that...
After over two months of DGD wearing an orthopedic boot she finally got the clearance from her doctor to go back to practice. She did have some arthritis but luckily it isn't rheumatoid. Her vitamin D levels are great and only has to take over the counter vitamins. :D She's still doing light...
I am so proud and astonished by my DGD. Just a few weeks ago she badly broke 2 fingers and her foot doing a bhs on the beam at state. She was regional bound until the last event where this happened. It completely halted the state meet (for all events) for several minutes while they assessed...
So that's good news. I know that she won't be perfect right away, but have to admit we were both taken aback when the doctor said no phy ed for two weeks. WHAT?!?! He saw the look on our faces and asked if everything was okay. I mentioned that Beth is a gymnast, has a meet in 2 and a half...
In a different post I said that I was getting an MRI. I got one on Monday and I got the results back today. I have really bad tendonitis in my ankle and some fluid build up, so I have to wear a walking boot for two weeks. I'll probably miss my indoor track season, but I guess that's ok because I...
