    Parents college camps 2018

Does anyone know whether the Wolfpack camp at NC State will be held this summer now that the couple who ran it has retired? The only info I can find on line is for 2017. Alternatively, can anyone recommend another college camp for a small group of 11-year-old girls who will be in the L4/L5/L6...

    MAG Clinics/camps at colleges

Anyone have experience? Do they tend to be worthwhile? We are heading to Ohio for thanksgiving and my youngest desperately wants to do the clinic at Ohio State (it's for kids 7+, day and a half). It would be for fun - we aren't expecting anything out of it as parents. He just has stars in his...

    Parents Camp

Camp Woodward (PA) or IGC? I'm really looking for opinions on those who have attended both camps, worked at both, or are experienced with both. My DD gym goes to Woodward every year, and she attended this past summer and had a blast! They are changing the week their team attends, and the week...

WAG SUNY Cortland camp is amazing!

Puma Jr and a bunch of teammates (from new and old gyms, actually!) did a day camp at SUNY Cortland for the last two weeks and had a blast! It was run by the HC of the DIII team and the gymnasts on the roster. It was the perfect mix of laid back and fun, but they worked hard too! They got to...

    Coaches Complaints about summer camps

I am just taking over a new gym as head coach/manager and I started August 1st. I was not in the gym at all for a summer camp that we ran in July but we had one of the senior coaches running it. I provided her a schedule that had a lots of gymnastics interspersed with breaks, craft, and lunch as...

    Parents Alta Super Camp Update

My gymie had an amazing time at camp this week. The coaching was great! Lots of experience, 8 Olympic athletes and a couple of NCAA athletes. Everyone was super encouraging and positive. It was such a great experience for my girl and the perfect reward for working through her anxiety this...

    Daily Camp Themes

I am going off to gymnastics camp soon and each of the days has a different theme. I am in the first week/session of the camp so the entire week of camp is animal themed, but then each day is even more specific during that week: Week 1/Session 1: Animal Week Monday: Jungle Animal Day Tuesday...

    WAG Info on Stanford camp

New to the forum so I don't know if it's allowed to post on two boards, but as I've gotten no replies on the Parent Board, thought I'd try here. Has anyone sent their DD to the Stanford camp? Any insight? Good, not good? Worth it? Fun? Good skills? Anything appreciated. Thank you.

    Parents Stanford camp, anyone?

    Parents Simone Biles camp

Has anyone heard any reviews on the Simone Biles camp? My daughter wants to go next year, but we live in Massachusetts so I need to make sure it's worth the drive/money. Thank you for any help

    MAG Boys camp question

My 9 year old son will be going to Flip Fest next month and I could use some advice from parents who boys have gone to camp before. I feel silly even asking, but I am a bit worried about how he will manage at camp ;) My son would probably be totally okay (and it might not even occur to him, ha!)...

WAG Woodward camp question -- Sleep???

I saw a day schedule and now I'm concerned about the amount of sleep time offered. One of my children needs 10 hours for a full night's sleep. The camp where I worked as a counselor has lights-out at nine, up at seven, and a generous rest period after lunch. Woodward seems to be much less!

    WAG Competitive Camps San Fransisco

We are relocating to San Francisco soon and my husband will be going there during early July. I seems like my daughter will be level 5 or 6, but we will still need to have her assessed by a club. I thought it would be great opportunity early June for my daughter to join my husband and go to a...

First Time At An Overnight Gymnastics Camp!!

Hey guys so in 23 days I will be attending Mizzou Gymnastics Camp for the first time. It is a 4 day 3 night camp and I have never been to an overnight gymnastics camp. I don't know what to expect. I have no idea what to pack and what it will be like being away from home. I am a little older...

Parents Finally got an answer on being invited to camp...

And while I was a bit disappointed at first we think it is actually a good thing. DD nor any of her teammates will be getting an invite the June camps. Our coaches just returned from the elite camp that was held this week and they were able to speak with Valeri and Kim and received a ton of...

    Parents OU Camp

My daughter is going to the camp at OU this summer and I have emailed a few questions and haven't received any response. Can someone that has had a child go or a gymnast that has gone help me? Is there a show off or anything like that for the parents to watch on the last day of camp? In the...

    Coaches Coaching camps

This might be kind of a strange question but I am a college student ex level 9 gymnast and I want to coach. I'm currently just teaching Rec classes but I was wondering if it is possible to work other colleges camps. I helped out with the school I attends camp last year but would like to go to...
