    Parents UCLA Chalk

Hello - my daughter attended the UCLA camp this summer and REALLY loves their chalk used. Of course, she told me this AFTER we had left. I have emailed staff to find out what brand of chalk they use, but responses have been minimal to none. I know it's not on their priority list - but all I...

    Anon Chalk Warrior

*Posting anon because this might be a bit controversial* Does anyone know why Chalk Warrior is so popular? It seems to be crazy popular on Instagram, from the mom-managed Level 3 accounts to teenage college recruitment accounts. However, they just seem like very overpriced leotards to me...

Coaches Anyone have a good tip to remove chalk?

Hi We don't have our own gym, so we're practicing in a regular gym in a school. One problem we have is that it takes forever to get rid of the chalk after bar practice, especially since there is no mop that we can use. We have to buy something to avoid having to clean the whole area with...

    WAG Vacuums and chalk

Hi everyone! I was wondering if some coaches, gym owners, etc. might be willing to weigh in on an important but mundane topic--vacuums! What vacuums do a good job with chalk without immediately having the filter clogged so the vacuum stops functioning after just vacuuming a floor or a runway...

How might chalk, fans, impact COVID spread?

I've been reading some of the latest research about how COVID can be spread through air conditioning. I've read that "good air circulation" is a good thing when it comes to reducing the spread of COVID, so I think the air conditioning problem comes from when the air is recirculated and...

Hello Chalk bucket and Aussie Coach

Hello. I am new here on chalk bucket. I love gymnastics. I am an adult gymnast that started gymnastics incredibly late (Unfortunately) but I am happy to at least be training/competing WAG level 6 in Australia at the moment. I also coach a bit of recreation gymnastics. I love gymnastics but feel...

WAG Statement from Chalk Warrior(re: NCAA + Brand Ambassadors)

I just saw this Chalk Warrior post on Instagram (see the attachment). If it’s accurate it is a pretty major warning to all the kiddos (or should I say parents) who are accepting merch in exchange for promoting said merch. Good on Chalk Warrior for checking into it and looking out for the...

    WAG chalk on beam?

Is there some kind of new rule banning chalk use on beam? If so, is it regional? National? And if so, what's the thinking behind it?

WAG New Gymnastics web page, Chalk warrior

Hope this is okay, but Lauren (many of you know her from MSO) has departed MSO and started her own gymnastics news / athlete bio page. I am hoping the mods won't have a problem with this since it's an info source. Lauren will be continuing her love for the sport by highlighting gymnasts...

    Coaches Different types of chalk

Is there two types of chalk? One being a more soft, crumbling chalk and one a more firm block. We have had gymnasts complaining that the chalk is 'soft' and it is harder to grip the bar. We buy all the chalk from the same supplier and often will be a hard and soft block in the same bulk purchase.

    Kayleigh's Triumphant Chalk Bucket Return

Hi friends! Long time no talk. You may (or may not. probably not.) remember me from my tenure on this lovely forum four or so years ago. Username Kayleigh, slightly obnoxious teenager. Well... the years have passed, I no longer have access to that old account, and I'm back - not just here but...
