Hi! I am new to this to forum. My daughter is 9 years old and we need help picking floor music for her level 6 routine. We were told it should be upbeat and cute. Any suggestions would be great!! Thank you!
My gymmie is getting new floor music this year.
Most of the pieces she likes come in 1:30 and 1:10 sec cuts. Coach says to make sure she likes the 1:30 version because that the one she should get.
One of her favorites is 1:20 will that meet the minimum.
Thanks in advance. Don't even want to...
I’ve been trying to get into cutting Floor music. What are Some do’s/ dont’s? Specific programs you use? Use the actual begin/end or create your own? Compose something yourself with instrument, strictly instrumental or a combo?
Curious to hear your opinions!
She is stuck on a floor routine cut she found on youtube of Mulans Decision (not great quality) and we found the song on Spotify but I am at a loss on how to turn that into a 1:30 cut for floor pice of music. OR if we are allowed to even cut music feom Spotify??? Choreography is in two weeks...
DD is looking for new floor music. I think we have listened to almost everything out there and she likes nothing. She is 13, xcel platinum. Not powerful, more elegant.
Yes yes yes I know asked in different way way a million times but when I searched I didn’t see any current threads.
Our first time picking. What songs are seriously overplayed? My daughters first choice is a piano version of Chandelier.
My DD likes this music we found on YouTube. I think the original poster edited two songs together. Does anyone recognize either of the 2 songs used? Thanks.
(I hope the link works)

Two of my girls are entering optionals in a few months and we are all super excited! I can't believe that some of my girls have actually gone this far already! I've been coaching them for a little over 2 years now and when I started none of them had even competed yet
Anyway, the girls can...
Out of sheer curiosity, what is that one piece of floor music you can't stand to hear at the gym/meets etc?:D Whether you are sick of it because it is overused, or you just plain don't like it for no particular reason.
For me, I have two. I will admit Nathan Lanier has some beautiful stuff...
Option 1, Piano:
Option 2, Trumpet:
Option 3, Mix:
Which one of these 3 Options for level 4 music do you like the best, and which one does your gym use?
I am going to use the level 4 routine for my optional routine next year, that is why i am interested.
Alex and I have been searching of new floor music for hours.
She is not a powerful tumbler and she is not an actress.
She loves violin music, dislikes spanish music.
But wants something unique.
Suggestions welcome :)
Its so darn hard...
Thank you
So we get new floor routines every year. Some people get new routines and some people get passed down routines from higher level gymnasts. Summer time is when most people start looking at music, so most of us have music picked out. I’ve had two picked out— which my coaches liked both.
Later...
Alright long post! Be prepared!

Hey all,
I cut a piece of music lately for a gymnastics routine, and I really enjoyed doing it. I'd really like to do some more.
So, if anybody would like some floor music to be cut, please let me know! For reference, here's the one I already made: . I don't think it came out too badly...
We're looking gor music for my level 6 daughter that isn't very graceful or dancy. She's 13, but very tiny; only 4'2" and 55 pounds. Her current music is Russian. Any suggestians that are like a mix between techno, bolllywod, and a littlw bit dancy? She's quite the powerhouse and isn't flexible. TIA
Does anyone know the name of Brenna Dowell's 2017 floor music? Or perhaps have suggestions for something similar? I like that it sounds "classical" but still has a strong underlying beat... I attached a video if that helps, I've tried using Shazam to indentify the song but there is too much...
This is my first time posting, so I hope I am doing this properly.
My dd just finished her level 8 season and has had the same floor music for the last two years. We will be getting new choreography this summer and we are looking for new music. Other than YouTube, where would you recommend...
My child is young, but if she is able to get her cast handstand she may be moving to level 6....Knowing this, she has already been listening to songs she would choose when it is time for her to have her own routine. I know the coaches will guide us when it is time, but I am just curious. When...
