Hello,
My daughter just competed at L8 regionals and did well. My question is about the judging discrepancy. There are four judges at regionals (two on each side). She had drastically different scores - at what point do they need to do a judges conference. For example - on vault she had a 9.3...
Looks like the regional allotments for Nationals have been posted:

The table is at the very end of the PDF. The PDF was posted on the nationals website, under Coaches Information.
For Region 7, we have always had to qualify for Regionals by getting a 35 (L8) or 34 (L9/10) during States. Given the uncertainty of how State meets (particularly the earlier ones - ie. L8/9/10) will be handled, the Region recently voted that a qualifying score in any sanctioned event during...
Hi all, my daughter has regional squad trials tomorrow (the first time anyone from our club has gone I think). According to her coach she has 'most' of the criteria but not quite all. Just wondering whether this is quite normal or whether the gymnasts going usually have everything? Should we...
I'm not from a gymnastics background and so I'm here looking for advice from others with more knowledge! My daughter just turned 9 and has been taking gymnastics classes for 3 years training 11 hours a week for a small local club.
She has taken Regional Grade 6 and Regional Grade 5 most...
My daughter recently qualified for the National Compulsory Level 4 at Fenton Manor in May and will represent her region with team. Whilst reading through the Women's Artistic National Competition Handbook 2019 it quotes "A Gymnast is not eligible to enter Club, Regional or National Grades if...
I can’t make this stuff up...the kid who took 18 months from first kip to consistent ugly kip just won bars at Regionals for both Bronze AND Silver! There were 28 kids in each of her groups, and in her Bronze session she got 8th AA. At 4:30am before her 8am Silver (specialist) session, she was...
THought I would share for everyone. Don't do it too often ;)
D had a great regionals, with a season high aa and qualifying for nationals. Thought I would share a video....even though he had some not so great times in it :)
Enjoy!
So after reading the Level 4 mobility score post, I was wondering what regions folks feel have "easier" vs. "harder" scoring. I wonder how broad the scoring variability is, especially given the nationally set mobility scores... I feel like I read a post about that on here before but couldn't...
Has anyone competed Future Stars? My son and 12 of his team mates just competed at Future Stars in hopes of qualifying for nationals. My son's coach thought he had a good chance of making nationals as a 12 year old...I was surprised because a 78 is a hard score to get. Well....he didn't get it...
D had his L9 Regionals today.
Started rough..missed his stutz on pbars..no clue how he stayed on. hit high bar. ALmost fell on floor, tweaking his foot. Best pommel and rings of the year. Vault...survived....
Placed 9th on pommel, vault, and pbars, 7th on high bar, and 8th all around...
Can someone please explain to me how the Level 10 age groups for Regional and Nationals are determined? I thought it was so that the number of gymnasts were fairly evenly distributed throughout all age groups, but looking at the schedule there is a large variance in how many kids are in each...

So for the third year in a row my kid has competed level 5. Last year he missed the regional by .5. It is highly likely that he will miss it this year by 1 spot (they are taking the top 9 in all age divisions) again this year. The whole year they were told divisions B is not going to...
In regional 1, there are quite a few skills where you can pick from the C.O.P. However, with the new one tuck jump half turn is now up to a B, whereas it was an A in the old one. Would I be able to the tuck jump half turn or would I have to stick with the old code and do a wolf jump half turn?
