I was always under the impression that when it came to # of gymnasts in optionals that Level 6 and 7 had roughly similar numbers, then the number of girls dropped... by an order of magnitude in some cases (like 8-> 9). I was just curious if things have changed that much since the 2009 and 2012...

Level 8 states ended today. How do I know who qualified for regionals? Is it posted on mso, do we get an email?

County, Regional, National.. What do they all mean? I know a tiny bit about County Squads (as our gym has girls that are in them) but nothing about Regional or National. What I am trying to say is what exactly does it mean if to say - ..... County Competition ......Regional Competition Dots...

The Idaho State website states that Region 2 is toying with the idea of having an actually L7 regional next year instead of an invitational. Does anyone out there know if this is going to happen or at least the time frame for letting the states know this is happening?

If a gymnast qualified to L9 or L10 Regionals the year before and is repeating this year, do they automatically qualify to compete at regionals even if they don't get the regional qualifying score at the current state championship or any other pre-state meet?

My DD was named Regional Team alternate at her State Meet on Sat :) There are 6 team members and 2 alternates. There are also 4 All Stars. They fit her for a Reg Team leo and said she would compete no matter what. If no one from the team was injured her score would just not count toward the team...

Yay! Ds is so happy that his petition to compete in the regional meet was accepted! Now we just have to have confirmed clearance from his doctor on Monday, and he'll be training his booty off :)
