Xcel: If a gymnast can correctly execute a B value skill (and it’s not restricted) do they get .3 points for the skill? Or is it still .1?
Example a Silver gymnasts correctly executes 540 passé on floor. Does she get the B value in her score, or is there absolutely zero benefit to adding B...
Would love opinions please? We’ve just moved gyms. Skills my daughter can do aren’t being worked on at the new gym and they’ve gone back to basics with her. She is happy which is great although sore from conditioning and more practice opportunities due to an increase in equipment. She can also...

I know this is obvious to most coaches, but I'm new to developing Xcel routines and was wondering:
Given that they just need some amount of "A" skills, what is the benefit of adding harder "A" skills if they all count for the same points and the harder skills just have more opportunity to have...
I’m currently in Xcel gold and going to compete it this coming season. Every season and level our coaches give us routines with all the skills and requirements for the next level. This cause us to not score as well at meets because the other girls are doing something like a straight jump off the...
Is there a list of A/B/C/D skills? I'm trying to find it but I suspect I'm not using the right search words. Ha! My daughter just competed level 6, and we found out she could do 8 next season. Her coaches were talking about composition requirements and I guess I thought it would be easier to...

So I don’t really have regular practices because of joining team mid season and stuff, but there are some skills that I want for when I compete next season. I would like to know if you have any drills that I can do at home or at open gyms. I cant set up huge extravagant drills at open gym but...

Hello! My level 7 had a beautiful free hip handstand and then was out with a back injury for about a month. Everything else came back quickly but she is beyond frustrated with this one skill she can not get back. I think it’s part fear but not all. If you’ve dealt with this - are there any...
My DDs new gym is big on posting on social media. But it appears they posting anyone but my DD. Which I feel silly for noticing it but Im also seeing through a lens of of wondering why as it’s not for a lack of skills/accomplishments.
My DD started this new gym back in April. She has done well...
So when I do backbends/backwalkovers it’s not exactly pain, but it’s more uncomfortable than I remember it being. When I was younger, like 9 or 10 it was WAY easier to do back walkovers and now I get scared my back will snap even though I am decently flexible, and I can walk my hands up to my...
