My daughter found her new floor music but isn’t sure if she should pick the song for one minute and 10 seconds or 1 minute and 29 seconds. She said she wasn’t sure if 1:10 would be long enough for all the requirements. She is first year diamond so she doesn’t really know. She would like the shorter song because it’s less opportunities for deductions. Is 1:10 enough time for diamond??

I can't tell you about the time thing (different country). But longer or shorter in time, most of the deductions in a routine come in the actual elements required+the overall artistry/posture, so time won't really make a difference on that, unless there's a lot of "empty" time in the exercise that would affect the overall impression.

1:10 is plenty long enough to get in all the requirements. You don't want to do the longer version unless the choreography is amazing and your daughter is a good dancer or able to keep the momentum going through the whole routine. I can tell you that judges get bored during routines when they drag on and the choreography is bad or the gymnast can't dance. Then deductions come off artistry and presentation. Think about your daughter's abilities, the choreography, and the music itself when considering the length.
