WAG 7 year old TOPs Testing

Hi all! I'm new to the group so I just wanted to introduce myself. My oldest dd is a 7 year old competitive gymnast and she is the one and only ever gymnast to test for TOPs at our gym.

I just wanted to check to see if there are maybe any other 7 year old tops mommas on here and see if we could talk about their progress?

My dd had her first test on Saturday, and did not do so hot on her rope or handstand hold (small errors lead to big deductions), but did great on the other 4 portions of the test

Yes, you will get more info from the tops forum. My daughter is exactly the same age as your daughter and trained all year for tops. She broke her arm in May and definitely will not be ready to test at least this summer. The two PAs she struggled on was the handstand hold and the rope as well. It's hard stuff. She was doing awesome, esp on the flexibility portion, so it was a huge bummer. Such is life in gymnastics.
