Hello, I know everyone is different so there isn't any perfect route, but what age should a gymnast get through each level to make it as a college gymnast? My daughter is 9 and competing in level 6 this year but has all level 7 skills (I think). Thank you in advance.

Most gymnasts who reach level 10 and compete in college usually have 3-4+ years of level 10, but its not entirely impossible (just a lot harder) to only have been a Level 10 for 1 or 2 years, or be a really good level 9 to get into a college program.

Our gym seems to pace girls to hit level 10 around 8th/9th grade, with the occasional 7th grader. It’s totally possible to do college gym with less than 4 years of level 10, but hitting 10 by 9th grade gives you the best chance.

Fwiw my daughters progression
Age 8 - pre-team
Age 9 - level 4
Age 10 - level 4
Age 11 - level 7
Age 12 - level 8
Age 13 - level 9
Age 14 - level 10
