Proud Parent
I knew that going back to the gym (and then ultimately back to the gym), there would be daily decisions about what we are comfortable with as people get diagnosed. I guess I just wasn't quite ready for it to start yet!
My daughter has been back in the gym 1.5 weeks. (Only going about 7.5 hours/week at this point.) This morning we received an email that a PARENT of one of the L8-10 girls (my daughter's training group) has been diagnosed as positive COVID. Apparently the gymnast stayed home from practice last week as soon as the parent started experiencing symptoms, the full family was tested (and only the parent was positive), and they are all still quarantining.
The gym reported the incident to the health department, who said no additional action is necessary at this point . . . and the cleaning/distancing protocols at the gym are good. So, we are planning to send our daughter in. But ugh . . . the stress of these types of daily decisions will be very difficult. :-(
