It sounds like the end goal may need to change a little for your DD, her end goal is a HUGE one even for a kid who progresses quick and has NO injuries. However that doesn't mean she should quit gymnastics. As long as she can participate safely, she has many years left to progress at her own rate and get wherever she can. At this point it needs to be less about the end goal and more about the process if she wants to continue. She sounds like an awesome kid and and awesome gymnast. That is a lot of injury to come back from, and I know you are very proud of her! My DD is an older gymmie in her first year of L7, and she is also one who seems to get injured every time she starts to make some progress, so I understand where you are coming from. But, in the end, you never know what she can accomplish! I hope her back situation is resolved, that must be scary and frustrating for both of you.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
