Parents Asking gym about what level for next year?

Hello! I am still new to this gym mom thing. My daughter has recently started training with the team two levels above what she competed last year, but the gym hasn't said anything to us (we only know because DD told us). The coaches have also started setting up stations for her to work on higher skills alone since she has "graduated" (their words, not ours).

Is it okay to ask the gym what level she will be next year? Or is it better to wait for them to tell us? I only ask due to finances. If she skips a level, there is a significant financial difference (starting in fall) that I would like to prepare for ahead of time.

Wanting to know for financial reasons is fine, but it's okay to just want to know out of curiosity :) I agree that they likely have a goal but don't yet know, and will want to be careful not to set the wrong expectation. If it were me I'd say something like "Hey - understanding that it's still early - I'm curious - do we know yet what level she might be competing next year?" Parents are part of the journey and it's fine for us to want to know what the plans are, just as it's fine for the coaches to not yet know how things will play out. And if decisions will be made in August like in @NYGymfamily 's case (same with my daughter's gym), the coaches can tell you that.
