Women ASO EVO vs. ASO regular ankle brace

I have sprained my ankle many times.... and according to my doctor 'almost fractured' my ankle about a month ago. He provided me with a Donjoy lace up brace....its what the orthopedic has. I really don't like the feel, and I borrowed my teammates ASO EVO ankle brace and loved it! I looked online, and the ASO EVO seems to be more expensive than the normal one. Why is that? Which is better to get?

Shouldn't you stick with what the ortho/doctor reccommended? Unless he gave the approval to switch, as the support and whatnot may be different, and not what he wants
