Parents Bronze to DP

If a gymnast begins in Xcel Bronze, is it possible to switch to DP?

If so, which DP level is typical to begin after Bronze (e.g., L2? L3?)? Am I correct in assuming that no petition/administrative process would be necessary (assuming the team coaches approve), because the lower DP levels are not required?

If any of you have gone through this process, how did it work for your gymnast?

I’m asking in part bc the gyms in our area have very early practice times for pre-team/L2, which would require leaving school early, whereas the Bronze team and later DP levels typically start later (after school concludes for the day).

It is perfectly possible. The level could be 2, 3, 4, depending on the skills and abilities of the gymnast. There's no petition needed because all of those levels can be entry levels, so no score/experience needed to enter.
