I got this letter from the coach at my high school. It says:
To compete you need to be a Level 7 gymnast. However lower levels can compete also. I'm open to non competitors supporting the team. You would come to all practices and meets, but would not qualify for school awards. I have had some athletes compete on one event only. Which qualifies them for a Letter if they score an "8" or higher.
Minimum skills: To compete
Floor: Back handsprings, front handsprings, acro-skills: back walkover, handstand forward roll
Beam: Handstands, cartwheels, turns, leaps, jumps
Vault: Front handspring over
Bars: pullover, back hip circle, front hip circle, kip, straddle sole circle dismount.
I am able to do everything but a back handspring so would I be able to be a member of the team even though I wouldn't be able to do a back handspring?
