Now that it is officially summer we are training up at gym and I have been having some problems with my cast handstand flyaway on bars and back layout on floor and I was hoping for some helpful advice.

In my handstand flyaway I have been having trouble gripping onto the bar and half of the times I try it I feel as though I am going to slip off the bar so get loose and I don’t flyaway. I need help figuring out how to drop into the flyaway without getting loose or feeling like I am going to slip.

Secondly, in my back layout I am whipping a bit and it is very arched at the beginning, so I need tips T help fix my shape. Thanks!

For the flyaway: do you know how to power down from a handstand? Think about a relatively-open pike press handstand, but in reverse; but powering down like that (and you can practice it on floor), you can come down with less speed. Then, as you get comfortable, you can gradually extend more and earlier.

For the layout, can you do it on trampoline (or tumbletrak, if you don't have a trampoline) without throwing your head back? That's the first thing I'd work on; see something in front of you until you can see your toes, first on trampoline, then on tumbletrak, then on floor.
Also, try to make your backhandspring longer; this will put you at a lower angle, causing your takeoff for the layout to pop up higher, which makes it easier to keep a straight body.
