Crazy??? Yeah, I think we are all a little crazy!! But, in a good way!! Non-gym parents "just don't get it". I remember when Dani was doing cheer in 1st grade for about 6 hrs a week her little friend was a gymnast (Level 4). I was talking to her mother and she was saying that she trained 12 hrs a week. I was like "What??? That's crazy! I thought cheerleading was tough!". But when I switched sports to gymnastics and actually saw the training and what went into the training, I understood the time necessity. Non-gym parents don't understand that in gymnastics there are FOUR events to master, plus lots of stretching and conditioning to help prevent injuries. This takes a lot of time. Especially, when the coaches have 6-8 gymnasts to train all at one time. Sometimes at Dani's 3 hr practices, there isn't enough time to rotate to all 4 events.
I think the ChalkBucket is a godsend for us gym parents because here we all "get it".
Thanks CB!!!
