Women Daft commonwealth games question

In the Individual Wag (& Mag) events - do they have medals for each piece or is it overall that counts in the medals?

There's seperate competitions.

Team and individual quals were yesterday. All around is on now, so individual overall.

Individual apparatus finals are tomorrow/day after, where it'll be medals for each piece.

Thanks Faith - so they have to do it all again?! (I am guessing they'll but a slight variation on qualifiers to individuals vs overall though).

The top 24 all around (from qualifying/team competition) go to the all around final. Only the top 8 on each individual piece go to the individual apparatus finals. So you could be a consistent all around gymnast and make the final for that without making any individual finals.
So different gymnasts will qualify for finals, depending on their strengths.

Becky Downie wasn't eligible for the all around final but she will compete bars and beam finals - bars tomorrow and beam on Friday.
Similarly Kelly Simm did do all around but will do vault final.
Hannah Whelan made all around final, but she didn't make beam final - not sure which finals she did make?
Claudia Fragapane made all around and I think beam, floor and vault, so will do the most.
