Gymnasts Dive roll flight on beam?

Hi! I need a forward acro flight series on beam and I was thinking of doing a fhs into a dive roll? Would the dive roll count as flight?

What level is this for? Dive rolls do count as flight, but im not sure, what level this pass is supposed to be for?

high school gymnastics my coach wants me doing a flight series for bonus, but it's not strictly a requirement; we just need any acro series. we do need flight which I'll get through my fhs (I already compete it) but not sure if it's worth learning the dive roll connection if it's not flight since I could just...cartwheel out of the fhs stepout for an easier series </3
we've tried fhs fhs and I eat the beam every time, so we're troubleshooting a new connection now :/ not worth the bruises imo lol

What about a FHS stepout to Roundoff or dive cartwheel ... both options are flight.

For high school gym, I do bridge kickover to dive roll, so I dont see why it would not work. I guess it depends on the state??? (Im in Ohio for reference)

What about a FHS stepout to Roundoff or dive cartwheel ... both options are flight.

unfortunately a dive cartwheel won't give bonus it gives flight but for connection bonus, it just counts as a regular cartwheel for us.
the roundoff is a good idea though! I'll bring it up with my coach, thanks!!

hmm, I think it should work then? different states though so it might not, but i think most states follow nfhs rules, so if the judges counted it for flight(do u know if they did?) it probably works for me too. we have no one competing dive rolls so there isn't really a reference for us as to how it's judged

Ohio uses modified USAG Level 8 with high school bonus, not NFHS.

At one point, I looked up the Illinois rules. I will see if I can find my old reference information.
I am from Ohio, so I know those rules better.

What are the odds you could learn a Front tuck on beam. If so, FHS-FT would be Superior-Advanced High Superior ... should definitely get you the bonus

woah! thanks for the suggestion; that would honestly be so cool, i hope my coach'll let me try it. do you know of any drills i could do to train the connection??
okay, this has me thinking. should I try working a standing front tuck (or one step hurdle) on the beam?? would that be easier than trying the connection? i could do an AHS dance element out of it for more bonus (I compete a ring) and I think ft + ring would be easier than doing fhs + ft + ring.
(also, do you know where I could find the CoP for Illinois online?? I don't have the rules book if not that's totally okay!!)
