I am competing Xcel Diamond this year, and I graduate in 2026.. Here is what I'm competing this year. (My vault and floor is a lot stronger than my 2 other events. (Keep in mind I started competitive gymnastics when I was in 8th grade and I am a junior now, so I've made quite the quick progress in my opinion.

Floor- Rudi as my first pass, round-off back-handspring full. I also have a front full dive roll on floor that I competed for high school gymnastics but I'm only doing 2 passes for club since I have a high pass as one of my tumbling passes. I also have higher leap passes and jumps that i'm not competing for club but I have for high school gymnastics. for example (leap- switch straddle to a straddle full / wolf full) (jumps- wolf 1 1/2.. etc) (I use to do joga so I have a lot of the higher jumps.) I also plan on working back 1 1/2's on floor. (My coach wants me competing one for regionals along with my Rudi.)

Vault- Tsuk Pike. About halfway into this season i'm going to start training tsuk layouts, I've done them before but only on 1 mat into pit.

Beam- (my beam is quite lower) this season I'm competing a handstand swing through round-off, standing back tuck, turns and jumps (Obvi) and for sake of cleanliness, I'm competing a front pike dismount, although I could easily do a front full off beam

Bars- (bars is quite lower) This season I'm suppose to be competing kip handstand piourette kip squat on kip handstand giant giant flyaway, I have a mental block on my giants so for the sake of my first meet in a couple weeks I'm doing a lower routine. I have also done double backs into pit with a mat in the past, and at summer camps I work pak releases for fun.

If anybody could let me know if I have a shot at least at D3, I'm not into acro and really don't want to do acro as I have a lot of passion for gymnastics and want to continue at the college level and not club in college.

i am aspiring to be a college gymnast as well some things I heard might help are posting your skills and routines on instagram, reaching out to college coaches, and reaching out to Jill Hicks. She can tell you how to reach out to coaches and if you can go d3. Hope this helped. I’m only in xcel gold so your ahead of me but your skills seem college worthy to me. Best of luck!!

Reaching out to coaches and participating in upcoming clinics will be extremely helpful. Many clinics have time built in for coaches to talk to gymnast and parents about the recruiting process. Some clinics even have coaches who will tell you specifically what you need to focus on. If there is a college you are looking at, I would follow them on social media to get a better understanding of their program and how you might fit in.
Best of luck!

You could do some research on the gymnasts on the roster of a few D3 colleges that you might consider attending. Check them out on mymeetscores.com and see the general makeup of the team. You won't know what skills they competed but you can possibly get an idea of what they might be looking for.
